Jeff Sedrel (he/him)
Jeff Sedrel is an artist and designer hailing from Omaha, Nebraska, where he earned a BA in Studio Art from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2012. Renowned for his vibrant abstract paintings of flowers and his intricate ink and brush drawings, Sedrel's work transcends traditional boundaries. Whether working on canvas or paper, Sedrel captivates viewers by filling space with a burst of vivid, spontaneous gestures, evoking a sense of natural abundance and the joy of uninhibited artistry. A former Union For Contemporary Arts fellow, Sedrel has garnered multiple award nominations throughout his career.
Allegra Hangen (she/her)
Allegra Hangen is a versatile artist, independent curator, and cultural organizer with a focus on experimental video, installations, photography, sculpture, sound, and archives. Her work often delves into social and cultural themes, exploring the social impacts of images and architecture. Hangen's practice employs processual feedback loops, glitches, erasure, and research to challenge and redefine images and text, fostering new intuitive imaginations.
Hangen earned her Master's in Visual Arts from UNAM (Mexico City) and her BFA in Photography and Art History from Lesley University College of Art and Design (Cambridge, MA). Her artwork has been showcased internationally in both solo and group exhibitions, as well as film festivals, including notable events such as Salina Biennial 2022 (Salina, KS), Salón Silicón (Mexico City), Pandeo (Mexico City), Galería 54 (Mexico City), Centro Fotográfico Manuel Álvarez Bravo (Oaxaca), and the Boston Art Dealer's Association (Boston).
Currently, Hangen serves on the curatorial team at the experimental film festival, ULTRAcinema, and is the co-founder and co-director of Fortuna, an independent art space and international residency program bridging Omaha, NE and Mexico City.
Breann Matlock (they/them)
Breann is a designer who thrives on exploring various styles and aesthetics to keep things dynamic and captivating. Drawing inspiration from the diverse works of fellow artists, she is continually amazed by their creativity. Lately, she has been particularly drawn to the vibrant trend of colorful maximalism, embracing its bold expression and infectious energy.
Music plays a significant role in Breann's life, especially when spending time with her partner. Currently, they're vibing to the latest tracks from artists like Megan Thee Stallion, Beyoncé, and T-Pain. However, Breann also has a soft spot for throwback tunes or show tunes, especially when tackling cleaning tasks.
To nurture her creativity, Breann enjoys engaging in arts and crafts projects with friends. One of her favorite activities is designing personalized cards for her partner on special occasions, adding a personal touch to their celebrations.
